Introduction
What is this animation about?
It’s about a boy finding himself. As a digital media student, he tries to combine the diversity of his major with his self, to find his place to move the earth.
How this animation relates to my personal experience?
I myself is the prototype of the protagonist, feeling digital media or say computer science is such a wide field that I cannot find my own place.
Having been through all the tries and struggles, I believe that the answer lies in where my ability and inner interest meet.
Character Design
Xiao Juan is big in the head and small in the body. We mainly used light colors on him. He is active, intelligent , but dull and confused at the same time.

Every day I lead the same life. From my dorm, to classroom to the dinner and back to my dorm.
It feels like drowning into the deep ocean and not knowing the road ahead.
Digital Media makes the signals of the real world spark the infinite light of the virtual world.
As I grew up, the accumulated experience, honed skills and the burst out of creativity all gathered into the power of dreams, which rolls, boils and flies inside my heart.
Animation Design
How can we use animation to break the boundary of reality?
Basically, we used our imagination to maximise the possibility of animation.
The way the protagonist walks from scenes to scenes looks like he is walking from one picture to another.
Corresponding lines: Every day I lead the same life. From my dorm, to classroom to the dinner and back to my dorm
When the protagonist is rubbing the paper with a eraser, the scene changes as well.

When the character feels tired and confused, water floods the physical scene and the character is drowning in the water mentally.
Corresponding lines: Sometimes I am perplexed, where is the road to my dream
We use different shapes to represent various experience in the character’s life and make all these shapes convert into a question mark to illustrate his doubts.
Corresponding lines: But I have been wondering, where is my place to move the earth in digital media world
A large number of white balls are used to depict the struggle and thinking.
